Something Wonderful Just Happened To Me!!!

This morning while checking my e-mail; to my shock! A message was sent to me that not only was unexpected--it will change my life.

Every prayer I've prayed regarding this situation has now been answered and all I can say is
THANK YOU GOD!!!

This news is life changing--literally. I'm going to be in a position to help the people I care about, particularly my mother.

I'm sorry that I can't say exactly what it is, but for those of you who wonder if God really does hear prayer;
YES HE DOES!!!

Right now, I'm awaiting the official communication to verify the good news.

Woot-woot.

It's time to celebrate

The Second Amendment Applies To Black People Too...

There is something I want to get into today that I feel is extremely important to those in the Black/Caribbean community.

I'm sure that some of you are familiar with the programs out there trying to get illegal guns off the streets. No one argues this, but have any of you ever wondered why is it the police always target Black/Hispanic communities when the largest group that owns guns in this country are WHITE Americans.

I smell fish...

The Second Amendment applies to Black People as well.

In this age of terrorism; why on earth would any logical minded Negro even think not to have a weapon? Who benefits from having a gun free community if there are folks in the country/city that will attack your community without provocation?

Who had the gun the night Trayvon Martin was killed? Why was this young man targeted, really?

I'm from the south (NRA central) and there are people training even their young children--as young as 5 years old to use rifles.

I'm happy to report that there are Black Militia groups out there...looking and watching the antics of the enemy.

All of this talk about getting guns off the streets is yet another covert tactic to disarm Black people in the event of a race war or other uprising. Don't fall for it.

Get armed.

This is what the government really fears....

The Universal Strength of BLACK POWER!

Divide and conquer has been the tactic of whites to destroy Black people for centuries. Why? Our people, no matter what part of the hemisphere, are part of a larger threat: (Africa), birthplace of civilization, and man--where the great empires of Black kings (pharaohs), and queens that ruled it; inspired ALL of Greece and Rome.

The continent of Africa is the richest on earth, yet, it is reduced to being perceived as impoverished and its people seen as starving or political thugs, dictators. Why? Africa should be at the top of the food chain because of its natural resources, but who is reaping the benefits of its wealth? It has everything the world needs, but no wants to pay for, thus, instigating unrest between ethnic groups serves the purposes of those robber barons who, like with slavery, want to build empires without paying for the labor.

The global threat of Black unity is what has and continues to fuel global White Supremacy.

In American, the buying power of Black America will be over 1 Trillion dollar in less than 3 years.

What if that money was used to push our agenda, politically, socially and economically? Just exactly what kind of force would we be on this earth?

What Happened To Good Music?

Good music has always been a part of my life, but I've noticed within the past decade a serious downgrade in the artists that are getting signed to major labels.  To be frank; there simply is no GREAT TALENT out there.  Just average singers with more gimmick than substance.  There are a few notables, but when was the last time you felt AWE--like back in the day?

There was a time when singers, particularly the super talented superstars like Prince,Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Sade, Babyface, TLC, Toni Braxton, En Vogue, Brownstone, Boyz II Men, Tupac, Ice Cube, NWA, Geto Boyz, Public Enemy, Eric B. & Rakim, Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah, Mint Conditioned, R. Kelly, Notorious B.I.G., Lauren Hill, Mary J. Blige, Busta Rhymes, EPMD, Wu Tang Clan, Guy, et al., Black music was relentless and dominated 20 years ago.  But not anymore.

The people that were in the business back in the nineties have now either left or ventured into other areas of the business.

Napster changed the game.  It truly did.  Music has not been the same since.  Can't blame the fans.  They had been telling the music industry through slow sales that they needed to "up" their game.  They were slow to respond; Napster woke them up. Link: http://entertainment.lilithezine.com/Napster-Revolution.html  And downloading music soon became the norm.  It literally killed the CD market and forced music stores to shut down.

But how can we demand better talent?

There are many underground artists that don't get any recognition, but fans that are tuned in know about them.  Like Kindred The Family Sole and Raashan Patterson to name a few.

Music gives us joy and improves the environment.  I just can't fathom that one day, this may be a thing of the past if things don't change.

A Young Brotha Broke it Down For A White Woman!

On another site, there is a current discussion going on regarding the true intent of interracial relationships and the skeptical perceptions many Blacks have regarding white who want everyone to believe that they are really "colorblind" *roll eyes* and choose non white mates, particularly Black mates.

40 years ago, they were calling Black people monkeys, gorillas and apes, yet it's now OK for Barbie to bring home Tupac ? Or Shaquita to bring home Tanner?

Here is a comment from that thread which in all my years on the Internet; I have to say it's one of the boldest coming from a Black male to a white female who seemed hurt that he wasn't interested in white women:
"Not much to discuss Vanilla I don't like white chicks. caused the down fall of black men for generations. Too many black men have found themselves staring down at the ashes and ruins of their homes, churches and businesses, have found themselves locked up, and hanging from ropes, more often than not, minus their dicks, balls and digits, eyes gouged out and disemboweled, all on the strength of some broad's claim of "he raped me", or "he whistled at me", "he dared to look me in my eyes", "he didn't look down or jump off the sidewalk fast enough when I walked by". You ladies have been fucking with, and fucking (literally) with black men since the first ships filled with human cargo landed on these shores. From Emmitt Till to the Scottsboro Boys, the white woman's perverted lust for, and subsequent guilt of that lust, through their dishonesty and lies, has resulted in too much black blood being needlessly spilled. Ever heard of George Stimmey? A lesser known version of Emmitt Till, but the story is no less heinous. 14 years old, "convicted" of raping and killing two little white girls; no evidence to prove his guilt, yet the state of South Carolina executed a boy who was so small, they had to stack books for him to sit on in the electric chair. Certainly too small to have raped and killed two girls. And before you give me that tired line about "that was then" or "this doesn't happen anymore", maybe not at the same rate or severity, but it still happens. Dumb ass brotha sitting in a prison in Georgia, because he fucked some white chick a few DAYS before her "legal age of consent" to have sex. Dude had scholarships to colleges and had been accepted, great student in high school, bright future, but her racist KKK daddy made a fuss and naturally most whites were on board with locking him up. His life is pretty much over. All because he had to have some white pussy. Sad part was throughout the trial she never stepped forward, never stood up for the dude. Dudes still risking beat down and possible death over some white pussy. We've got our own beautiful black women, but they aren't good enough for some of us. If it ain't white, it ain't right. *chuckle*
I've been approached by white women looking to hook up, I'm not impressed nor flattered by their attention, and when I flick 'em off like fleas, they have the nerve to be indignant, of course they pull that old bent up "race card"...."oh my god you're a racist!" Can't fathom that there are brothas out here who aren't checking for them, that's the over inflated ego of white chicks.

So nope, I'm not on that kumbayah shit, I don't like white women, and black men who chase white tail are stupid. That time COULD be better spent cultivating friendships and relationships with their black women.

I don't hate you all, but I damn sho' don't like you all either.

There it is Vanilla......it is what it is........."

If more Black men did this...there wouldn't be so much bickering between Black men and women.

His response was totally apropos.

As you read this woman's comments--it just hints at desperation...

However, as she found out: There are more than a few brothers who will tell your behind that you need to wipe the 'ish between your crack.

LOL@Amil.

There's Something I've Been Wanting To Say...

Life is much sweeter when you live with a purpose and understand that you're not the only one who wants something better.

So why don't people get that?

I'm so sick and tired of people who do nothing but complain about their problems--acting as if they are the only ones going through something. We're all going through changes; some in order for us to grow.

Nothing in life was meant to be easy and it's only difficult for people who are looking for easy answers.

If you want to change the world; become the change that you believe in. Walk it. Talk it. DO IT. Don't just be another fence ambassador--always looking at others accomplishing things, even while challenged. Life is a verb and is meant for folks who GET MOVING.

The Law of Reciprocity is very real. Essentially, you get back exactly what you invest or put out. Link: The Law of Reciprocity

There's a woman I work with who comes in every single day with an attitude. She's got issues. Everyone knows she's got issues, but she is confused why I stopped talking to her and unfriended her on fb. Really? I thought. I don't know why...she got exactly what she gave.

I've told people numerous times that it's very easy to get along with me. It's like that Burger King slogan: "Have it your way." And that's what I do. However you want it; that's exactly how it's going to get served up.

Basically, I'm a positive person and my one true goal in life is to inspire others to believe in themselves and that they can make a difference in this world.

But you have to really believe that. And then live it. When you believe it and live it, you can GIVE IT!

And this is my public service announcement for the day.
